Antica
Image

Antica is not an Italian restaurant as you may know it. It’s a locanda in the traditional regional Italian style - a local casual dining establishment with a set menu and delivering a dining experience designed to restore and revive travellers’ spirits.

We use fresh local produce (organic where possible) and sourced direct from local producers, orchards and farms. We have a minimal waste ethos which means we only bring in the produce we need each week.

School of Arts

The School of Arts in Icely Street is one of Carcoar’s iconic buildings. Built in 1901, it has been the hub of the community for 120 years.

Initially planned as a venue for extended learning and training for school leavers from the Primary School with a library and reading room, it quickly became the social centre of the town.

The School of Arts became the venue for parties & performances, wakes and weddings, meetings & greetings.

It was the Picture Theatre, from the times of silent movies, through to the 1950’s.

Stoke Stable

Built by convict labour in 1849 from local stone, and reputed to be one of the oldest buildings standing in Carcoar, the Stoke Stable Museum houses an eclectic mix of domestic and agricultural items donated from the district.

The museum is owned and operated by the Carcoar and District Historical Society Inc.

Open 10.00am to 4.00pm daily. (except Christmas Day and Good Friday) Entry – voluntary donation.
